About hemp-talk
English (USA)

Hemp-talk originated in 1995 as the communication point for activists working on the HIP-WS initiative. Since that time, hemp-talk has given rise to numerous drug-policy related projects in Washington State. Please follow these simple rules when posting to hemp-talk:

1) Trim! Quote the relevant parts of the message you are replying to.

2) Don't send everything you find interesting to hemp-talk. This is a list for drug-policy activists in Washington State. Decide whether your message would be appropriate for the list before posting it.

3) Use private email. Not every response needs to be sent to hemp-talk.

4) Despite differing opinions and personalities, we are all colleagues and treat each other with respect. Disagreements are sure to arise, but do not flame others.

5) Don't send test messages. Avoid one-liners (e.g. I agree!).

6) Don't send HTML, it will bounce. Google "text-only email" for help configuring your email client to send text.

7) If you are new, lurk for a while until you get sense of the list tone,
traffic, etc.
